Score and Snap
With a scoring tool and straight edge, score through fiberglass mesh on one side, then snap edge and cut mesh on the opposite side. To make cutouts for fixtures outline the cut with a hole saw.

Floor and Countertops |

Floor install |
Install over supported exterior grade plywood (min 5/8"). On floors, place SelectCrete with joints staggered from sub-floor joints. On countertops, make sure plywood has slits cut into the panel to prevent warping. Apply a waterproof membrane over plywood to further protect from warping. For both floors and countertops use a 1/4" notch trowel and laminate SelectCrete to surface with thin-set mortar leaving 1/8" spaces between boards, fasten them to the plywood with 1-1/4" corrosion resitant screws spaced 8" on center. Pre-fill spaces with thin-set mortar and level joints. |

Exterior walls

Install moisture barrier over plywood or on a 16" center studding. Screw SelectCrete to plywood or studding with minimum 1-1/4" corrosion resistant screws spaced 8" on center, stagger panels leaving 1/8" gap between panels. For interior walls fill joints with thin-set mortar. Embed 2” wide pvc coated fiberglass tape then fill tapered joint flush and flat with surface. On exterior walls before applying stucco pre-wet walls where stucco is to be applied. |

Limitations SelectCrete must not be used as a structural load-bearing member. SelectCrete must be installed over a sound base at all times. SelectCrete is not affected by water but is not a water barrier.
Warning Product contains Silica, Inhalation of respirable silica dust can cause cancer or silicosis a disabling lung disease. When drilling, cutting, or abrading product. Work outdoors where feasible, otherwise use mechanical ventilation. Please where airborne dust exceeds PEL wear NOSH/MSHA approved respirator. Note: All installations must conform to ANSI A.108 and TCA handbook for cermaic tile installation.
Note: All fasteners must be long enough to penetrate 3/4" inst wood studs on wall or plywood on floors, or 1/4" deep into metal wall studs.
